  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice from about 5 to 6 lemons
  • 5 cups cold water

  • 1 lemon cut into wheels
  • 8 leaves fresh mint optional

Instructions

  • Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  • Blend the peach mixture until smooth, or strain through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother lemonade without pulp.
  • Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice into a large pitcher.
  • Add the cold water and stir to combine.
  • Add the prepared peach syrup to the pitcher and stir thoroughly until fully incorporated.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled peach lemonade over the ice.
  • Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

White peaches create a sweeter and milder lemonade, while yellow peaches provide a more classic peach flavor.
Frozen peaches can be substituted when fresh peaches are not in season. Thaw slightly before cooking.
Fresh lemon juice is strongly recommended for the brightest flavor.
For stronger peach flavor, increase the peaches from 4 to 5.
Honey may replace part of the sugar for a deeper sweetness.
Add fresh basil or rosemary while the syrup cools for a subtle herbal infusion.
For a sparkling version, replace half of the cold water with club soda just before serving.
