Date Shake

  • 6 Medjool dates pitted
  • 2 cups milk cold
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream optional
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes or frozen milk cubes
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch cinnamon optional

Instructions
 

  • If dates are firm, soak them in warm water for 5–10 minutes, then drain.
  • Add dates, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to a blender.
  • Blend until completely smooth and no date pieces remain.
  • Add ice cream or ice cubes and blend again until creamy and thick.
  • Taste and adjust consistency with additional milk if needed.
  • Let sit for 30 seconds, then serve immediately.

Notes

For the smoothest texture, always blend the dates with milk first before adding ice. Use frozen milk cubes instead of ice to avoid dilution. A pinch of salt can enhance sweetness, and adding yogurt or protein powder can turn this into a more filling smoothie.
